How to set up a signature in Outlook 2007

  1.  Click on Tools - > Options
  2. Click on the Mail Format tab.
  3. Click on the Signatures button
  4. Click on New
  5. Enter a name (proabably YOUR name) :)
  6. In the box under Edit signature, enter in what you would like to appear at the bottom of your messages.  Full name, Job title, email address and phone number are the basics most people expect to see.
  7. In the upper right, under Choose default signature, use the drop down to pick the one you just created.
  8. Click OK.

How to set up an automatic reply in Outlook 2007 (out of office or vacation)

Creating a template.
Start a new email message.
Fill out the Subject: field, and put in a message about being out of the office and when you will return.
Click Save As...
Save as type: Click the drop down box and choose Outlook Template.  
Name it something like Out Of Office.
Click Save.
 
Now, set up a rule.
Click Tools -> Rules and Alerts
Click New Rule
Select Check Messages when they arrive.
Check the box for 'where my name is in the To box', click Next >
Check the box for 'reply using a specific template'
Towards the bottom, click on 'reply using a specific template'
In the Look In: box, drop down to User Templates in File System
Double click on the template you made.
Click Next >
Click Next > again (you don't need to exclude anybody)
Click Finish
