RFP FOR LOCAL Telephone Service

The Wellpinit School District is seeking a vendor for POTS Plain Old Telephone Service, also known as Local Service for the Wellpinit WASHINGTON area:

low-cost reliable telephone service
the ability to run at least 8 local lines into the school
ability to add lines to that service as requested
ability to repair and troubleshoot said lines in a quick and timely manner
we are looking to purchase the local service as a month-by-month tariff service
the vendor must work through the Federal SLC eRate system

DETERMINING FACTORS FOR AWARDING THIS CONTRACT

Cost (both initial and sustained)

Ability to provide desired reports

The kinds of unique or distinguishing features that can be provided

Reputation of firm in both performance and service

A willingness to work through the FCC eRate program

Other Services Provided

BIDDER QUALIFICATIONS
The proposer must be an established local telephone service provider, and have the resources to enter into a long-term commitment.

PROCESS FOR RFP SUBMISSION
The following procedure should be followed for responding to this RFP:

Evidence that the product line meets the determining factors for awarding of the contract must be submitted with quotes.
Vendor must work through the Federal eRATE System, the Universal Service Fund, in order to receive the Federal portion of the cost of the items.
By bidding on this proposal, a vendors thereby agrees they will get a certain percentage of their payment from the Federal Government and NOT from the Wellpinit School District.
By bidding on this proposal, a vendors thereby further agrees that if the Wellpinit School District fulfills it's part of the eRate process with the SLC in a timely and correct manner, and the vendor fails, for any reason, to collects its share from the Federal Government, the Wellpinit School District will not be liable in any way for paying the portion of the bid that the vendor should have received from the Federal government.
