What Operating System Am I Running?
 

This one is easy.

When your computer is booting, look at the screen. There will be a splash screen that tells you the name of the operating system.
At our school it is almost Windows XP Professional.

As of 2008 most of our new computers will have Windows Vista Business Edition.

If you are already in Windows, or if you want more information about what version and what service pack has been installed on your system, go to: Start | Control Panel | System and read the information on the General tab.

A Handy Tip:
You can bring up the System screen by using the keyboard shortcut: WindowsKey-PauseBreak!
