How do I make a long distance number?
Dial a 9 first to get an outside line. Then dial your 1-area code-phone number as usual.
How can I learn more about my new phone?
You should have received a yellow User Guide with your new phone. Please read it. It contains a lot of the basic information you will need.
How do I know if I have a voice message?
The light by the MSG button should light up.
The voice MSG button is lit up. How can I hear my messages?
Press the MSG button.
I pressed the MSG button. All I get is a long automated dialog asking me to do this and that. What's with that??
Calm down. This is a one time setup procedure. Take the time to go through the automated setup system. It will ask you some basic questions, it will ask you to record your own name and a personal message, and it will tell you how to access your voice mail. When you are done, you will be able to get to your voice message very quickly.
How do I program the buttons on my phone to dial a certain number?
- enter #139
- press button you want to program
- enter the number (enter a 9 first if you are dialing outside the school)
- press the selected button again.
How do I forward my calls to voice mail?
- enter #139
- press button you want to program
- enter #141
- Main Building: enter 4000 | Middle School: enter 6789
- press your selected button again
- press SPKR button to end the process
- put a label on the button to identify it. All you have to do now is press the button and it will transfer your calls to voice mail, press again to stop the transfer.
How can I check my voice mail from a different phone?
- dial 4000, or if you are dialing from outside the school, dial the school number
- dial your own extension
- once the ringing stop and you are asked about voice mail, press 9
- re-dial your own extension.
How do I delete a message from voice box?
Press 6.
How can I skip through a message?
Press 1.
OK: How can I skip through a message and then delete it?
Press 1 then 6.
