Girl's Basketball 2010 - 2011

Redskin Locomotive-boys/girls-bball-2010-2011 left the train station on December 4, 2010, so everybody jump on board, show up at the games (home/away) grab something to eat from the concession stand, sit back and enjoy the ride because this train doesn't plan on stopping until March 5, 2011 championship night in the Spokane Arena!!!

The girls are playing @ Wilbur on January 18, 2011.  There will be an email out on game times for the girls when Clark receives it.

On Thursday, November 4th it looks as though we will be traveling to Cusick for the opening round of district play against ACH. If we win we will play Cusick that same night, if we lose we will play at 11am on Saturday, November 6th at Northwest Christian.
Thank you so much for all of your support, the girls truly are blessed to have such a supportive staff and community!  Coach Kris Herda

The Lady Redskins have added another win to their league record! Last night (October 14) we hosted Hunters and the ladies were looking for redemption.   In our first matchup the girls came out flat and lost in 3 games.  Well lucky for us, things changes the second time around.

The girls came out playing strong and managed to play consistently most of the way through.  The final had our girls winning in four games, 3 to 1!

The JV team again came out strong, winning the first two games to take yet another match this year!

We are down to our final 3 games of the regular season and I’m in shock at how fast, amazing, and fun it has been.  The girls have played through bumps, bruises, illness, and more.  Through all of the obstacles we have managed to post a 5 and 4 league record which puts us in third place.  Overall we are 6 and 7, but most amazing is our 5 and 2 record and home!!! That speaks volumes of our crowd and the support we have had all season.

Thank you so much to everyone who has been there.  Jane Swiatek, Richard and Desiree Pacheco, Joni and Chris Scott, Chris Schott, Clark Pauls, Geri Flett, Terry Bartolino, Jeanne Blankenship, Cheryl Brown, Eileen Davis, Les and Susan Hegney, Stephanie Kenyon (Coach K), Jeanne Parisot (The Money Maker), Mark Patterson, Doug and Bree Reynolds, Warren and Lisa Seyler, Shelly Sonnaband, Anne Taylor, Wendy Wynecoop, and Kelsie Williamson.

What a great staff we have, and what an amazing group of girls I get to work with!  GO LADY REDSKINS! 3 more steps to districts!

Last night (October 7) our girls hosted Springdale and things could not have gone better.  The girls declared it breast cancer awareness night and wore pink jerseys with pink socks in support of breast cancer.  The girls looked amazing!

Springdale came at 3:30pm and our two teams had a small meal together.  Girls brought food and snacks and drinks for everyone to enjoy.  Afterwards, both teams went down to the court, warmed up together and played queen of the court (just as a group of girls having fun).  It was quite the site to see with all the ladies on the court, no trouble, no fights, JUST FUN!

In the games, our JV played a tough battle and in the end came out victorious in three games.

The varsity really showed how strong they have become, winning in four sets.  In the second set, the girls won 25 to 8!

On a side note, for those of you who have not been to a game, the crowds are growing!!! Last night we made over $300 at the gate and over $500 at the concession stand.  Not bad huh?!

On Tuesday the girls went to Inchelium and won in 4 sets.  Our league record is now 4 -3, with an overall record of 5-5.

We play again Saturday, here against Cusick who is undefeated and in first place.  Please come support the girls! Thank you everyone for all of your support!

(Oct. 5)  The Wellpinit Lady Redskins are now HALF WAY through the season.  The varsity has a record of 3 and 5, JV has a record of 6 and 1. Varsity has a league record of 3 and 3, which puts them in 3rd or 4th place depending on how you look at the standings.
